Readymade Ilica

The interdisciplinary journal dedicated to education and research is conceived within the Readymade Ilica initiative. The primary focus is set on the critical reflection of the city through a systematic production of urban content and space in accordance with the social, historical, cultural, sociological and economic contexts. In addition to essays, the journal brings interviews with the main stakeholders in the domain of visual and performing arts whose recent practical activities are linked to the context of Ilica Street. It also brings together interviews with stakeholders from the global public sphere addressing public space.

A contemporary approach to design based on typography was chosen in line with the messages concerning the public space of Ilica street, which needed to be communicated through empty shop windows and public facades. Oaza’s contribution to the project was in terms of expertise based on the previously conducted Project Ilica, but also in terms of visual communication, curation of content and participation in the exhibition program.
